Inclement Weather Procedures

In the event of inclement weather or emergency, the school will contact all parents/guardians via Tiegerman’s automated telephone system.  If a parent cannot be contacted directly, a voicemail message will be left and attempts will be made to contact those individuals listed on your child’s Emergency Phone List.  Parents can consult this website for updated information concerning school closings.  Please keep the school informed with regard to any changes in contact information.

Ask Toya

Toya Davis, Parent Liaison for Tiegerman, connects families across all Tiegerman schools and programs, keeping them informed about educational changes that may impact their children. She actively participates in IEP meetings and workshops to stay current on NYS Department of Education updates. Toya’s journey with Tiegerman began when she sought support for her preschool-aged son, ultimately finding life-changing guidance from Dr. Ellenmorris Tiegerman. Thanks to Tiegerman, her son developed essential communication skills and now has a successful career with the Town of Hempstead. Committed to helping parents as Dr. Tiegerman helped her, Toya offers guidance on navigating the complexities of special education. Everyday, she answers questions about identification and advocacy—email AskToya@Tiegerman.org to connect!mcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
