Tiegerman’s 22nd Annual Chefs for Children Food & Wine Tasting is more than a culinary celebration—it’s a powerful night of purpose, inclusion, and opportunity. This year’s theme, Every Bite Builds a Brighter Tomorrow, reflects our commitment to supporting students and adults with autism and developmental disabilities from preschool through adulthood.
Guests will experience an unforgettable evening of top-tier tastings from some of Long Island and Queens’ best restaurants, exclusive wines, desserts, and over 75 curated raffle baskets—all while raising funds for vital programs at Tiegerman Schools and Tiegerman Community Services (TCS). From work readiness training to supported employment and life-skills coaching, every dollar raised helps build independence and dignity for the individuals we serve.
This year, we’re proud to spotlight and honor Loretta Radford from Tiegerman’s Culinary Program, Kristina Black, a Teacher’s Assistant at Tiegerman High School and Tiegerman High School student Connor Rodriguez – an Entrepreneur, Author, and Baker behind Connor’s Canine Cookies – alongside his family for their inspiring dedication and achievements. In addition, we are thrilled to honor Patty Castrogiovanni and her inclusive team of bakers from Special Sweets in Garden City. Patty and her team have been featured participants at this event for the last 4 years! They have also been recognized in the LI Newsday, and most recently, Patty was a guest on Philanthropy in Phocus hosted by Tommy DiMisa.
