2026 Evening of Honor
April 30, 2026
Tiegerman’s 2026 Evening of Honor will take place on Thursday, April 30th, from 5:30-9:30 PM at The Inn at New Hyde Park. This event celebrates Tiegerman’s commitment to helping individuals with language, learning, and developmental differences find their voices, build confidence, and create meaningful futures. The evening brings together families, educators, advocates, and community partners to honor impact, share stories of growth and resilience, and reaffirm a mission that has transformed lives for over four decades.
We are also excited to announce our 2026 Honorees:
Joseph Farber, Esq. – Esteemed Tiegerman Board Member and Legal Counsel
-
Recipient of The Tiegerman Family Lifetime Achievement Award
Peter & Lisa Fragliossi – High School Parents, Advocates, and Supporters
-
Recipients of The Tiegerman Family Legacy Award
Nick & Denise Tembelis – Denise, a distinguished Board Member, and Nick, longtime friends and supporters
-
Recipients of The Tiegerman Family Legacy Award
Rosemarie King – Coordinator of Admissions, Tiegerman Schools
-
Recipient of The Toya Davis Distinguished Service Award for her longstanding dedication and passion for our students and families
Proceeds from the evening support Tiegerman’s full continuum of programs, including state-approved non-public special education schools (PreK–12+) and Tiegerman Community Services (TCS). Through TCS, children, teens, and adults receive day habilitation, supported employment, transition services, and residential supports that promote independence, community involvement, and meaningful adult lives. This event is both a celebration and an investment in the future — ensuring that every child, teen, and adult we serve has the opportunity to communicate, grow, and thrive.
