From the Principal
Dear Families,
My name is Mrs. Karen Katzman and I always say at all concerts and events that I am the proud Principal of Tiegerman Preschool, Elementary School and UPK. Indeed I am. I have been Principal since 2006 but have been at Tiegerman for almost forty years in different capacities. I so love being part of the Tiegerman family because of what we do and who we are. I always say that we have high expectations for our students but achieve that in a joyous environment. Our students learn, laugh and accomplish. Please know that I am here for you. Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year.
Wae

Community is EVERYTHING
The Parent-Teacher-Family Association (PTFA) at Tiegerman is dedicated to enriching the educational experience of students by supporting teachers and staff through special activities, celebrations, and fundraising efforts. By fostering a strong sense of community among Tiegerman families, the PTFA creates a supportive network where parents can connect, share resources, and collaborate to enhance their children’s educational journey. Through fundraising initiatives and parent contributions, the PTFA ensures that students and staff benefit from additional programs and events that make learning more engaging and inclusive. Additionally, by completing the family directory and encouraging active participation, the PTFA strengthens relationships among families, reinforcing the shared commitment to student success and well-being.
