FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tiegerman Receives National Recognition
Tiegerman Elementary, Middle and High Schools are named Schools of Excellence
GLEN COVE, NEW YORK – June 9, 2021:
Tiegerman Elementary, Middle and High School have been chosen as 2021-2022 Schools for Excellence by The National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET).
Tiegerman joins only a few other qualified, licensed, non-public education schools to have this honor in the State of New York.
“We are honored to receive this coveted recognition as it further demonstrates that the hard work of the special education teachers and staff here at Tiegerman is truly making a difference in the lives of so many children with disabilities,” said Dr. Ellenmorris Tiegerman, CEO of Tiegerman. “It is our students and families who are the true beneficiaries of this honor,” added Dr. Tiegerman.
Selection as a NASET School of Excellence is the highest level of recognition non-public and private special education schools can achieve through their professional association. This honor is presented to schools that meet rigorous professional criteria and have demonstrated truly exceptional dedication, commitment and achievement in the field of special education.
NASET annually completes a screening process of various special education schools in the United States.
All three Tiegerman Schools will also be featured as NASET Schools of Excellence on the organization’s website: http://www.naset.org.
Please note that our Tiegerman School at Woodside was not eligible for recognition as it did not meet the criteria set by NASET of being in operation for at least 5 years.
